Year 01 ends on Graciosa

A year ago we got the keys of Velvet ... 4000 nice miles covered since then. Tonight we'll find a restaurant to celebrate that.

We're back in Las Palmas, after 15 days in Graciosa (Playa Francesa, the best anchorage in the Canaries). This small and dry island is the most beautiful wild place visited since the Ecrehou in the Channel. Since it is a birthday, let's draw few initial conclusions:

-         The boat is attractive, safe, comfortable and rather fast for a travel ship

-         Hélène likes downwind/no-wave sailing better than upwind and choppy sea

-         My new job is carpenter-plumber-electrician-mechanic handyman-diver-courier-mousse and I like it, but I'm still a bit lazy about maintaining stainless

-         Visits from family or friends are always great moments, so are our breaks in France

-         We're doing very well without TV, but I love reading the internet press.
